Abdul Rafay Khan, Born in Karachi, He has been singing at the age of 7. He got to know that, he can sing when he saw his elder brother singing and got the inspiration from him and started learning from him and when he turned 10 he went to NAPA to take singing classes from Sir Intezar Hussain. He trained Abdul Rafay for two years. He started listening eastern classical music initially like Salamat Ali Khan Sahab, Baray Ghulam Ali and Mehdi Hassan Khan Sahab, later on he developed his musical taste in different genres as well to explore his music vocabulary. He listens Pink Floyd, Gary Moore, Led Zeppelin etc. His most favorite vocalists list contains of Sonu Nigam, Lata jee, Hari Haran, K.K, Corey Taylor, Robert Plant and the list goes on further. very good at drawing sketches, song writing and storytelling skills. Doing his Media Sciences Studies (Film & TV) from Iqra University.
He has shared the stage with all the prominent artists of the industry like Abida Parveen, Ali Azmat, Ali Zafar, Strings, Noorie, Sajjad Ali etc. His first achievement was to win Youth Festival Award which was given by governor of Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ibad in 2012. He was the youngest contestant of Pakistan Idol who became the top 5 finalist of the show. He was awarded Pakistan Peace Award by Pakistan Air force in 2019. He has released his first single ‘Na honay dun juda’ in 2015.
Recently in 2020 , 23th September Laal series , produced his 2nd single name call, “Piya” which is available in all live streaming platforms. He thinks very positive about music industry of Pakistan; it is going on to success gradually. However, If Abdul Rafay were not a musician, He would be a cricketer. A good spin bowling All-rounder in fact. He is the youngest among his siblings too.
Music means a gift which is blessed by God to him like a scent which gets along with him 24/7. Music makes him think about the nature, because it is all connected to each other.
